Ombre, and beyond.

Gradient transformations from classic ombre to bold fashion color. For the guest who wants their hair to make a statement, not blend in.

Color that actually shows up.

Ombre isn’t subtle. It’s a deliberate gradient — usually darker root to lighter ends, or the reverse — that announces itself the moment you walk into a room.

Bold fashion color goes further. Pinks, blues, lavenders, copper, peach — anything outside the natural spectrum. These services require multiple sessions for previously-dark hair (we lift first, deposit second) and serious commitment to maintenance.

Both services require an in-person consultation before booking. We need to assess your hair’s current state, talk through the maintenance commitment, and quote you a realistic plan.

Three levels of color drama.

From subtle gradient to vivid statement — pick the commitment that matches your goal.

Classic Ombre

$160+

Smooth gradient from darker root to lighter ends. Classic, sophisticated, and lower-maintenance than full highlights.

Reverse Ombre

$160+

Gradient from lighter root to darker ends — a sophisticated look that flips the traditional ombre formula on its head.

Reverse OmbreBold Fashion Color

$300+

Pinks, blues, copper, lavender — any non-natural color. Often requires multiple sessions if starting from dark hair.

What to expect.

Ombre and fashion color have longer first appointments and more involved consultations than classic color.

Consultation

In-person assessment of your hair condition, history, and color goal. We discuss whether your goal is achievable in one session or requires staging.

Lift (if needed)

For fashion color or going lighter on dark hair, we lift first using bond-protected lightener. May take 1-2 hours depending on starting level.

Deposit & Finish

Custom color mixed to your exact target, applied, processed, and toned. Finishing style + at-home maintenance walkthrough before you leave.

Questions guests ask.

  • Ombre is a gradient color technique — darker at the root, gradually lightening through the mid-shaft and ends. Unlike balayage, which is hand-painted with a soft, sun-kissed feel, ombre creates a more defined, intentional transition from dark to light.

Classic ombre stays in the natural color spectrum (brunette to caramel, black to copper). Reverse ombre flips it — light root to darker ends — and is a popular option for guests transitioning out of bleached ends.

  • Classic ombre starts at $160+. Bold fashion color (pinks, blues, copper, anything outside the natural spectrum) starts at $300+ and may require multiple sessions depending on your starting level.

Final price depends on hair length, density, the artist working with you, and how much lift is needed to reach your color goal. Your consultation will quote a firm price before any color is mixed.

  • Bold fashion colors are direct-deposit pigments that don't penetrate the hair the way traditional color does. Most colors fade noticeably after 4-8 weeks. Pastels fade fastest; reds and coppers hold longest; blues and purples sit in the middle.

Plan to come back every 4-8 weeks for a refresh, and use cool-water washes and color-safe sulfate-free shampoo at home. Hot showers and over-washing are what kills bold color fastest.

  • Yes — always for fashion color. Your colorist needs to assess your hair's condition, your starting level, your color history, and your goal in person before quoting a plan. Some fashion color goals need staging across two or more sessions.

The consultation is also where we set realistic expectations. A photo of someone with bright copper hair might look achievable, but if their starting level was a level 7 and yours is a level 3, the path is very different.

  • Usually yes, but it depends on what's on your hair. Box dye, henna, and previous bleach all behave differently from professional color, and your colorist needs to assess what's there before planning the lift.

For previously colored hair, the path to bold fashion color often takes two or more sessions: one to lift and tone, another to apply the fashion color. The consultation will lay out the full timeline and cost so you can plan.

  • The fashion color itself (the actual pigment deposit) doesn't damage hair. What can cause damage is the lift required to get your hair light enough to take the color — fashion shades need a clean, light canvas to read true.

We use bond-building additives in every lift and recommend a strict at-home routine for fashion color guests: weekly bond treatments, sulfate-free shampoo, heat protectant, and limiting hot tools. Done right, the hair stays healthy through the full color cycle.

  • Classic ombre runs 3-4 hours from start to finish. Bold fashion color can run 4-6 hours, and significantly longer if a separate lift session is needed first.

First-time guests should plan for the longer end of the range to give the artist time for the consultation and a careful first application. We'll confirm your total time block when you book.

  • Ombre is a defined gradient — a more visible transition from a darker root to lighter ends. Balayage is hand-painted dimension scattered through the hair, designed to look like sun-kissed natural highlights with no clear line.

Ombre reads more graphic and intentional. Balayage reads more lived-in and natural. Different looks, different vibes — your consultation will land on the right one for what you're going for.
