Babylights, delicately placed.
Ultra-fine highlights woven through your hair in much smaller sections than traditional foils — for the most natural, subtle dimension we offer.
Highlights, but barely.
Babylights are exactly what they sound like — highlights so fine and delicate they look like the natural lightness a child develops from sun exposure. Each section is paper-thin, woven through your hair in dozens of micro-foils.
The result is dimension you can barely see line-by-line but can absolutely see overall. It’s the most natural-looking highlight technique we offer, and it’s the right answer for clients who want brightness without any visible contrast or stripiness.
Babylights are also our most labor-intensive highlight service — a full head takes 3.5-4 hours because of how many micro-sections we weave. The pricing reflects that. Consultation is required because babylights aren’t right for every hair type or every goal.

Why babylights take longer.
Babylights are slower than traditional highlights — and that's the whole point.
Micro-Weave
Each section weighs about half what a traditional highlight does. We weave 80-120 sections in a partial, 150-200+ in a full head — every section by hand.
Slow Process
Because each section is so fine, we process with less aggressive lightener for longer. The result is brighter, healthier hair than rushed highlights.
Gloss to Finish
Every babylight service ends with a custom gloss toner to neutralize unwanted warmth and lock in the soft, natural tone.
Questions guests ask.
-
Partial babylights start at $185+ and full head babylights start at $215+. A gloss toner is included with every babylight service.
Final price depends on hair length, density, the number of sections needed, and the artist working with you. Babylights take more time and more weaves than traditional highlights, which is reflected in the pricing. Your consultation will quote a firm price before any color is mixed.
-
Babylights are very fine, hand-woven highlights designed to mimic the natural sun-lightened pieces children get in summer. Each section is about half the weight of a traditional highlight, so the result is brighter without the chunky stripe look.
Traditional highlights use thicker sections and bolder placement. Babylights use 80-200+ tiny sections placed throughout the hair for a soft, dimensional, expensive-looking brightness.
-
Babylights work beautifully on most hair types, but they're especially good for fine hair (where chunky highlights can look harsh), blondes who want to lift without going lighter overall, and brunettes who want subtle dimension without committing to balayage.
They're not the right call if you want dramatic, high-contrast brightness — that's where foilyage or full color shines. Your consultation will land on the right technique for the look you're after.
-
Partial babylights: 2.5-3.5 hours. Full head babylights: 3.5-5 hours. The hand-weaving step is what drives the time — each fine section is sectioned and foiled individually.
First-time guests should plan for the longer end of the range. If you're adding a haircut after, add 30-45 minutes. We'll confirm your total time block when you book.
-
Most guests refresh babylights every 12-16 weeks. Because the sections are fine and dispersed throughout the hair, regrowth blends naturally and you don't get the harsh line you'd get with traditional highlights.
A gloss every 6-8 weeks between services keeps the tone clean and stretches the refresh window even further.

For new color guests: yes, always. We need to assess your hair, color history, and goal in person before booking the service. If you've never had professional color before, the consultation is built in.
For existing Cynergy guests with a known color history, you can book directly. Your stylist will do a quick chair-side consult at the start of the appointment to confirm the placement and tone direction.
-
Yes — combining the two is one of our favorite techniques. Babylights give you brightness around the face and through the top sections, while balayage adds soft dimension through the mid-shaft and ends. The result is both bright and lived-in.
Combined services run longer than either alone — usually 4-5 hours. Your consultation will lay out the placement plan and quote a price before booking.

Babylights are one of the gentler lightening services because each section is so fine. We use less aggressive lightener and process for longer, which is easier on the hair than the higher-strength formulas used to rush a traditional highlight.
We use bond-building additives in every service. The more dramatic the change, the more aftercare matters — sulfate-free shampoo, weekly bond treatments, and a heat protectant will protect your investment between visits.
