Hair color, by formula.

Every shade is logged. Every formula is reproducible. Every visit picks up exactly where the last one left off — across balayage, foilyage, ombre, classic color, and full corrective work.

Color science, not color guesswork.

Most salons mix color in the moment. We log every formula in VISH — the industry-standard color management platform — so when you come back in eight weeks, your colorist isn’t starting from scratch. They’re continuing the formula that worked.

That’s why our balayage holds tone for months instead of fading to brass at week three. That’s why our foilyage has the dimension you saw on Pinterest. That’s why our color corrections don’t turn into emergencies.

It’s also why a consultation is non-negotiable for new color guests. We need to see your hair, ask about your history, and write the formula before we ever pick up a brush.

Color questions.

Real answers from our colorists. If your question isn't here, ask at your consultation — we'd rather over-explain than under-deliver.

  • Yes — for new color guests, always. A consultation lets us look at your hair in person, check the condition, review your color history, and understand what you're actually trying to achieve. It's the difference between guessing and getting it right.

Consultations are typically 15–20 minutes and we'll quote a firm price before you book the service.

  • Three things move the price: hair length, hair density, and the artist working with you. A full head balayage on shoulder-length fine hair uses far less product and time than the same service on dense, mid-back hair.

Senior and master colorists may also price slightly higher based on experience level. You'll always get a firm quote at your consultation before any color is mixed.

  • Balayage is freehand hand-painting — softer, more blended, lower-maintenance grow-out. Foilyage is the same hand-painted technique but each section is wrapped in foil, which traps heat and gives you more lift and brightness.

If you want soft, sun-kissed dimension: balayage. If you want bright, high-impact lightness: foilyage.

  • Express root retouch: about 45 minutes. Full root touch-up: 90 minutes to 2 hours. Partial balayage or foilyage: 2–3 hours. Full head balayage or color correction: 3–5 hours, sometimes longer.

If you need a finish blowout, add 30–45 minutes. We'll always confirm the time block when you book.

  • Root touch-ups: every 4–6 weeks if you want to stay sharp. Balayage and foilyage: every 10–14 weeks for a full refresh, with a gloss in between to keep tone clean. Bold fashion colors: every 4–8 weeks depending on the shade.

We'll build a maintenance plan with you at your first appointment so you're not guessing.

  • Almost always, yes — but it requires a color correction consultation first. Box dye, henna, and previous bleach behave differently from professional color and we need to assess what's on your hair before we plan how to lift, neutralize, or rebuild it.

Color correction is quoted at consultation and may require more than one session. We'll lay out the full plan and timeline before you commit to anything.

  • Modern professional color is dramatically gentler than what was on the market even ten years ago. We use bond-building additives in every lightening service, and your stylist will adjust formulation based on your hair's condition.

That said: any lightening service has impact, and the more dramatic the change, the more aftercare matters. We'll recommend a home care routine that protects your investment.

  • Sulfate-free shampoo, a weekly bond-building treatment, and a heat protectant before any hot tools. For blondes: a purple shampoo every 3–4 washes to keep tone clean. For brunettes going lighter: a blue shampoo for the same reason.

Your colorist will recommend specific products for your hair at checkout. We don't push retail — we recommend what we'd use ourselves.

  • Please do — bring 3–5 photos of looks you love AND a few you don't. The "don't" photos are honestly more useful because they tell us exactly which directions to avoid.

One note: photos of celebrities or influencers often show wigs, extensions, filters, or heavy editing. Your colorist will tell you honestly what's achievable on your hair, in your timeline, at a healthy condition.

  • We ask for at least 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. Color appointments are long time blocks and short-notice cancellations are nearly impossible to fill.

Cancellations inside 48 hours may be subject to a fee. No-shows are charged the full service price. Life happens — just call us as soon as you know.
